Who we are

Ameya Vritti is a conservation practice based in Bengaluru, India, founded by Abhishek Sreenivasan. For anything on this page, including a privacy request, write to ameyavritti@gmail.com or reach us on WhatsApp at +91 63605 09351. The same address reaches the person responsible for your data.

What we collect

When you fill an enquiry form, you give us your name, your email, your phone or WhatsApp number, the category you are writing about, and your message. Only a way to reach you is required.

When you simply browse, our systems record standard technical details: your approximate location from your IP address, which we store only in a hashed, non-identifying form; your browser type; the page you are on; and the page that referred you. If you arrive from a Meta advertisement, Meta sets its own cookies, named _fbp and _fbc, in your browser.

Why we collect it

For two reasons only. To reply to you personally about a home, a piece of land, the community, or a visit. And to understand which of our pages and advertisements are working, so we place attention and budget where they are useful. We do not build advertising profiles of you ourselves, and we never sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

To run the practice we use a small set of trusted services, and your details pass through them only for the purposes above.

• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): we send page views and enquiry events to Meta to measure and improve our advertising. Where an enquiry event includes your email, phone, or name, it is hashed, turned into an irreversible code, before it leaves our server, so Meta receives a match key and not your readable details.
• Brevo: sends the confirmation email you receive and the notification email to our founder.
• Telegram: delivers an instant notification of your enquiry to our founder.
• Notion: stores your enquiry as a private record so we can follow up and not lose your note.
• Cloudflare and Vercel: host the site and process form submissions.

Each of these keeps data on its own servers, which may be in India, the European Union, or the United States.

Cookies and the Meta pixel

This site uses the Meta pixel and Conversions API to measure our advertising. The pixel relies on the _fbp and _fbc cookies described above. We do not use cookies for any other tracking or advertising network. A short note at the foot of the site tells you this on your first visit.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry for as long as we are in conversation, and afterwards as a reasonable record of who we have spoken with. If you ask us to delete it, we will, unless a law requires us to keep a specific record.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and for visitors in Europe under the GDPR, you can also withdraw consent and complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these, write to ameyavritti@gmail.com and we will act within a reasonable time.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable services, send readable personal details over encrypted connections, and hash contact details before sharing them for measurement. No method is perfectly secure, but we hold only what we need.

Children

This site and our work are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under eighteen.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the date above. Any material change will be made clear.
