This page maps what an owner actually sees on the digital side, what's automated end-to-end, and what's deliberately kept human.

## The owner-facing digital surface

### 1. Document vault (per-owner, encrypted)

Stored: lease deeds, sale deeds, e-Khata extracts, KYC documents (PAN, passport, address proof, FATCA-equivalent host-country docs), Form 27Q quarterly filings, Form 16A receipts, TDS challans, BBMP property tax challans, AMC contracts, society NOCs, banker statements, ITR-2 copies.

**Retention**: 8 years (IT Department audit window) + 1 year. **Access**: owner via secure portal; founder + assigned specialist agent. Audit log of every read.

### 2. Real-time financial dashboard

Owner sees:
- **Monthly rent inflow** (per property, last 12 months)
- **TDS deducted at source** vs **expected per Section 197 certificate**

## FAQ

**Q: Why no app today?**
A: An app for ~50–200 active NRI owners isn't worth the build cost or maintenance overhead. WhatsApp + email + web portal serves the use cases better. App may become rational at 1000+ active owners.

**Q: How does encryption work for the document vault?**
A: AES-256 at rest in Cloudflare R2. Per-owner key. Access logged. Compliance: SOC2-equivalent practices, though Ameya isn't formally SOC2-audited yet (will be once volume justifies).

**Q: Can I integrate with my own accounting software (Quickbooks / Xero)?**
A: Year-end packet is delivered as PDF + CSV; can be imported into any major package. Direct API integration not in scope yet.

**Q: Where does AI training data come from / go?**
A: Owner interactions are NOT used as training data for any external model. The agents (Claude / Haiku) run inference only — no fine-tuning on owner data. Anthropic's enterprise API doesn't train on inference inputs.
